GENEVA, Nov 28 — The Citroën C3 Aircross compact SUV has been picked by the Car of the Year award jury as one of seven finalists shortlisted for the prestigious prize. The winner will be announced March 5, 2018, and will follow 2017 Car of the Year the Peugeot 3008.

The seven cars shortlisted for the 2018 title are the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, the Audi A8, the BMW 5 Series, the Citroën C3 Aircross, the Kia Stinger, the Seat Ibiza and the Volvo XC40. These finalists were chosen from a longlist of 37 eligible cars.
Jury members will test the seven shortlisted vehicles in February before announcing the winner on the eve of the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.

Every year since 1964, the Car of the Year organising committee has crowned the year’s best car based on criteria such as value for money, design, comfort, safety, onboard technology and environmental performances. This year’s jury comprises 60 journalists from 23 European countries. — AFP-Relaxnews
