MILAN, Nov 7— At the Milan Motorcycle Show this week, Harley-Davidson is presenting its brand new line of custom motorcycles designed for a young, urban clientele. The Street 500 and 750, powered by 500cc and 750cc engines respectively, will arrive in dealerships during 2014.

Harley-Davidson has opted for relatively small engines for its two new entry-level models. The Street 500 and 750 each feature a liquid cooled VTwin Revolution X motor and a six-speed transmission. In spite of the low price, the models are characterized by the high build quality Harley-Davidson is known for, complete with a steel tank, steel fenders, LED tail lights, and a locking gas cap, forks, and ignition. With a 17-inch front wheel and a 15-inch rear wheel, the Street weighs 218kg, wet.

Harley-Davidson has not communicated any performance details or specific release dates for the Street, other than indicating that the models will arrive “starting in 2014.”

The Street 500 and 750 will go on sale in the US for US$6,700 (RM21,300) and US$7,500 (RM23,843) respectively, making them the two most affordable motorcycles currently offered by Harley-Davidson.
