Deceased brother a loving and humble person, Johor crown prince says in moving tribute

JOHOR BARU, Dec 6 ― The Tunku Mahkota of Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim has described his younger brother, the late Tunku Laksamana Johor Tunku Abdul Jalil who died of cancer last night, as a loving and humble person.

Tunku Ismail, who is also the royal patron of the Johor Football Association (JFA), expressed this through a post on the Johor Darul Ta'zim football team's official Facebook page today.

According to Tunku Ismail, he was very fond of the late Tunku Abdul Jalil, and his younger brother gave him strength and inspiration.

"To my dear brother...in the many nights that have passed, this has been the most difficult for me.

"We all love and miss you very much. You always made us smile. You were also my strength and inspiration.

"You had one quality that we didn't; a loving and humble soul. I love you with all my heart and miss you very much.

"You will never be forgotten. Your name will be carried by my heir. Your smile is my strength. May Allah bless you, my brother. I will always love you," said Tunku Ismail in the post.

 

 

 

Tunku Abdul Jalil, 25, died at 7.11 pm yesterday at Sultanah Aminah Hospital, here.

The prince was the fourth of six siblings and son of the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar and Permaisuri Johor, Raja Zarith Sofia Sultan Idris Shah.

He was laid to rest at Mahmoodiah Royal Mausoleum, here, at 3.20 pm today. ― Bernama
